You get the ESV bible offline for free. The interface is easy, with the bible text centerpiece and the libraries and references laid out in a logical and noninvasive way next to the bible text. It makes sense and is customizable. If you want to get more info on a word, tap and hold. Accordance becomes more powerful as you add libraries. The Accordance staff is friendly and not there to oversell but help. What more could you want? Update: thanks for the bug fixes!

I use the iPad version in church and most of my daily study. I especially like having two different Bible translations on display and scrolling together, whether on iPhone or iPad or computer. On the big iPad I open the Bible study in PDF Expert next to the two translations displayed in Accordance. With the iPhone and iPad mini, I have to double tap the round button to jump back and forth between PDF Expert and Accordance.

This is a great bible study app. I love how I can configure font settings per pane, so that I can have the biblical text larger -the focus - and the commentary text smaller. This makes it easy to read the Bible, but have really easy access to a commentary when I get to a passage that I dont quite understand. The new interlinear feature is really cool too. My primary bible isnt tagged for the interlinear, but I can put another version in the secondary pane, turn its interlinear on, and have the underlying Hebrew or Greek text. I highly recommend the Accordance app!

Title says it all. I download the app and cant log into my Accordance account to get my modules.

Overall this app is great as always!! This new version is much snappier. Scrolling is much smoother. All Daily Readings links work again! (so far) Thanks for the great App!!

This major upgrade rocks! It increases the app’s usefulness by several orders of magnitude, without needlessly cutting the user interface. It’s easily the best Bible study app available, especially when combined with Accordance’s vast array of resources. I especially like the fact that I don’t have to be connected to the internet by WiFi or cellular for it to work. Backwoods, here I come!

I have been waiting for this update ever since iOS 8 came out. Now this app does justice to the larger screen size of the iPhone 6. The app is also improved in a number of other ways. The aesthetic is much better. The performance and speed it noticeably faster. And it finally has a proper share sheet (though buried more than I would like). It does not measure up to Logos and the awesome search and hyperlinks in that nice. Nor does it have all the free resources of YouVersion Bible. But with a handy and useful widget, and a bunch of other improvements, I am sure Accordance will be one of the first apps I reach for when I want to read the Word of God and I am thrilled once again to have it in my phone. Thanks to the developers for all the hard and excellent work.

Excellent new display. Sensible designs. Still having problems with secondary view. Trying to change the second text view shuts down the app. Needs to be debugged. Happens mostly with NLT text.

If you don’t have this App - Get it! Great tool! If you have it this is a great upgrade. Pros: unlinked panes, native resolution on iPhone 6 and 6+!!! Cons: Biblical texts and Tools and Notes icons are all BLUE! :o( A great update, thank you Accordance!!!

So far it looks really good. The new verse highlighting is difficult to maneuver. And I think it slowed down holding on a word to get the Greek/Hebrew instant details. I feel like you need to hold for 2+ seconds instead of just over 1 second. Seems small but is a bit irritating, makes it feel more sluggish when the app actually seems faster overall.

I regret updating to this version. 1) I still cannot bookmark multiple verses. 2) I used to use and like the night mode, but now the menu as well as the verse numbers are displayed in blue, which makes it extremely difficult to read. I wish Accordance stayed the simple black and white contrast, which was much easier to read. 3) The split pane is uneven. 4) Clicking the split pane no longer shows any animation. 5) I use a Japanese Bible (Shinkaiyaku). Like the last version, the top portion of a starting verse is not displayed, and this issue was not solved. I have been a faithful user of Accordance and still do love its products. However, I am utterly disappointed at this update for iOS. Hope they would reflect more attentively the voices of the users upon the next version. Updates: the app keeps crashing when using certain functions, including changing the language of the lower pane from Japanese (Shinkaiyaku) to Greek. When opening the lower pane, the height of each pane is uneven.

Wish there were things besides bibles and notes to buy in app... If the entire accordance library was available for purchase, placed in proper categories, it would be very convenient.

This has been my go to Bible reading App. I rely on the Greek/Hebrew meanings in the text. With this latest update it wanted to freeze. Finally it started working. :) Would like to see KJV or NKJV added.

Accordance is still one of the best Bible study apps on any platform, and version 2 continues and improves on that. I have noticed an increased instability, especially when using the quick look-up feature. If doing an English based search that covers both OT & NT, if quick look-up feature is used in BHS-W4, and then I scroll down and use it in the GNT-T, it crashes immediately and consistently. I wish this could be fixed, because this is a work flow that I use regularly.

I have relied upon this app for two years in sermon preparation, but the current version update has brought me to a standstill. I cannot change anything in the supplemental pane without the app crashing. I eagerly await a fix for this issue. Thank you and God bless

Changing the module in the second search pane always crashes the app in the latest update. Only way to do comparisons in more than one other module is to change the module in the top pane. This app was essential for study up until the update. I have purchased a number of modules and use the desktop version all the time. The developers should roll back the update until the current one is stable, then rerelease it.

Its a great app. I use it daily and can do most of the kind of research I also do on the computer. Most of the limitations are also things that would be unwieldy on mobile anyway. Its quite extraordinary they they have packed so much power into this without making it hard to use. Things I would love to see changed: 1) This release is a bit more unstable than before. I get crashes from time to time—occasionally repeated enough to be really annoying. 2) I would love to see a true full screen use of the entire real estate. To see what I mean, look at the free ESV app. When scrolling, EVERYTHING disappears except for the biblical text. Its just gorgeous. 3) Crazy wish list - maybe someday three scrolling texts (now limited to only two). Not useful on the iPhone but on the iPad... Would be amazing. 4) Printing So thats being wishful. This is a great app. To underscore the value, I know that other unnamed Bible software would have eaten Accordances lunch without this app. I would also be stuck to my computer a lot more. Exceedingly glad to have it.

First, I have to say that Im a huge accordance fan. Their product is superior in so many ways. That being said, I am disappointed in this version due to how unstable it is. It crashes nearly every time I use it, especially if I try anything with parallel panes or original language tools. Its very frustrating to tap a word in a parallel pane and then have the app crash. Not only that, but when I relaunch it doesnt save my place. I have to start from scratch. Also, if I tip my phone, it will often display the parallel pane in full screen, without allowing me to get it back to half or even remove it altogether. The app is okay, but Ive gone from regular use to only about 1 time per week or so. Even then, I give up if it crashes a couple of times. Please update and bring us the accordance we have come to appreciate.
